Culinary Skills Apprenticeship

This 10-week, 160-hour, part-time employment opportunity prepares apprentices for a career in the food industry. Through a combination of classroom, kitchen, and English language classes, graduates will leave with the knowledge and skills needed to continue working in a variety of culinary fields.

The program incorporates hands-on experiential training in our commercial catering kitchen, industry field trips and guest speakers, and workforce skills development. We also empower apprentices to preserve and share their culinary heritage by recording their own recipes and showcasing their diverse stories, cultures, and cuisines with our community and supporters.

Culturally Appropriate Food Assistance

Due to COVID-19, we pivoted our programming to cook emergency meals for immigrant and refugee families and seniors. From April to August 2020, we cooked over 7000 culturally appropriate meals for these communities in need.
